WE PAY IT FORWARD

Life has taught us that lending a helping hand isn’t so hard when you put your heart into it and that gratitude isn’t just about paying back the people who help you. We’ve learned that to truly honor the people you want to show your gratitude to, you pay the goodwill forward.

It is truly a humbling experience to see people go out of their way to help you achieve your dreams, whether friends, sponsors, or family. This is why we have decided to pay all that goodwill forward and inject a nobler purpose into the heart of our team.

Team Viloria Yacht Racing now supports the Puno ng Buhay Fund for Children with Cancer. Our efforts will not just drive our team toward our goals, but it will now also benefit the children with cancer who are currently being treated in the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

LEADERBOARD-Puno-ng-Buhay

“Puno ng Buhay” holds a double meaning, as “Puno” is the Pilipino word for “tree” AND “full”, with “Buhay” meaning “life”. In this regard, Puno ng Buhay means both Tree of Life and Full of Life, which the wonderful people behind this fund had intended for the children they help. Team Viloria is happy to be able to join the effort.

In keeping with our values of always thinking far ahead and applying long term solutions to the various challenges we face while we pursue our dream, we hope that we can apply that same relentless drive to help generate much needed provision for the Puno ng Buhay fund — provisions on a regular and consistent basis, so the doctors and the people who have poured their heart and effort into this foundation can focus on the more important matter of treating the children and giving them a life that they can happily look forward to.

We ask that you follow and join us on this journey. You can be as much a part of this as with our dream of racing solo across the oceans of the world. Both seem to be very grand projects, but we assure you that both are very much possible.

Paolo has begun the meticulous task of gathering the necessary information from the foundation and will be setting-up a temporary page for Puno ng Buhay here, on the Team Viloria website while he personally builds their official website which he hopes they can launch by December.

For the meantime, you can also follow the Puno ng Buhay Fund for Children with Cancer via their Facebook page which can be found HERE.

Thanks for reading!
