My sponsor, Cebu Pacific Air, will be flying me out of Clark Airport in Pampanga. At first I thought I would get myself lost on the way to the airport given the distance I have to drive from my house in Makati to the parking lot in Clark. But then I drove like the manly man I was, didn’t get lost, and actually had lots of time to spare before my flight.
The trip is actually well worth it.
With my scheduled departures all at 7am in the morning, it only takes me about an hour and 45 minutes to get to the airport–while keeping to the speed limit AND vehicle traffic is very light–almost non existent when I leave the house at 4 am.
I also happen to enjoy the drive along the NLEX and SCTEX, two very wonderfully maintained stretches of privately owned-for public use highways.
The Clark airport, to my surprise, also happens to be a nice, well maintained and very clean airport. Not too crowded, and currently very organized. I hope they keep up the good work.
Above are some photos I took. Airplanes are cool. I still don’t think I would be happy as a pilot though.
